Oyo

My name is Oyo. I'm an electronic composer and musician, performing techno, house, drum & bass, electro, dub, electropop, hip-hop and anything else I happen to be interested in at the time. I'm from the United States, hailing originally from Chicago but now happily residing in Seattle. My interest in electronic and experimental music started as a child with experiments in music concrete and generating tones using a TRS-80. My musical weapon of choice is a laptop and software.

Outside of my persona as a musician, artist, loudmouth demagogue or whatever I'm calling myself these days I'm basically that guy. You know the guy I'm talking about. That one weird Black guy almost everyone knows. The one with all the white friends. The one who doesn't seem like he's spent one day in an actual Black neighborhood. He talks funny. He looks funny. He's just plain weird. And worse yet, he puts his weirdness online where everyone can see it.
